Foreword

The Journal of Skyscape Archaeology (JSA) changes editorship and we start a new era: the renowned scholars – experts in topics that link astronomy to culture – undertake a new task. Our motto is “quality and scientific evidence” rather than quantity and speculations; JSA aims to advance the deciphering of practices related to the skyscape, via archaeological and anthropological approaches to remains, to buildings and to art (tangible and intangible). In this way the journal offers a new vehicle for enriching our knowledge and understanding of the methods and tools used by societies in their interactions with the celestial dome.Ioannis LiritzisEditor-in-Chief
