Millimeter-Wave Multi-Beam Pattern Synthesis Based on Multi-Objective Optimization
A novel multibeam pattern synthesis method is presented for the transmitter of millimeter-wave multibeam phased arrays. By utilizing the multi-objective genetic optimization algorithm, the equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP) and the signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) of the beam patterns are optimized simultaneously. In this way, the interference between multiple beam patterns is reduced under the premise of maintaining the beam radiation power. Besides, multiple results featuring diverse EIRP and SIR are generated in a single run, facilitating the application in different scenarios. Compared with the classical methods such as Chebyshev and Taylor distribution, the proposed method boasts distinct advantages in both EIRP and SIR.
