Design of Wide Band MPA at 5G Frequency Band for Indoor Passive Radar Applications

The advanced design and development of a wideband micro strip patch antenna(MPA)specifically engineered for the 5G frequency band, emphasizing its application in indoor passive radar systems. With the growing importance of indoor navigation and surveillance, the necessity for high-performance, compact antennas are increasingly evident. This research meets this need by offering a precisely engineered antenna solution operating at 6 GHz. Constructed using an FR4 substrate, the antenna demonstrates outstanding performance metrics, including an S11 parameter of -42.421 dB, a Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) of 1.0166, a gain of 11.78 dBi, and a directivity of 17.72 dBi. The design and simulation were rigorously conducted using CST Studio Suite software, ensuring high accuracy and reliability in the results. The antenna's substantial directivity and gain are particularly beneficial for passive radar applications, enabling precise detection and monitoring in indoor settings. A thorough analysis to identify the optimal substrate and design configuration confirms the antenna's effectiveness and practicality. The positive simulation outcomes highlight the antenna's potential for real-world implementation in advanced 5G systems, addressing the dynamic requirements of contemporary communication and surveillance technology.
