A Broadband Low Sidelobe Antenna Array for Satellite Communication
This paper introduces a high gain, wideband and low sidelobe array antenna operating in the C-band. The array antenna consists of 24 antenna units arranged in a 3*8 array. The antenna units use microstrip direct feeding to load coupled patches to achieve broadband processing. To form broadband circular polarization axial ratio characteristics, the unit network also applies corresponding broadband design. In addition, in order to achieve miniaturization of the array antenna, the antenna feeding network adopts a metal shielding wall structure loaded with microstrip lines, which can effectively increase the isolation between two microstrip transmission lines and reduce energy loss, allowing the feeding network to be densely arranged and greatly reducing its mutual coupling degree, further ensuring antenna radiation efficiency and increasing antenna radiation gain.
