GANsight Innovations: Generative Adversarial Networks for Innovative Medical Imaging
Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are currently trending in the Artificial Intelligence domain. It has found significance in providing solutions to various applications in medical imaging. GAN architecture typically consists of a generator to generate synthetic data and a discriminator to differentiate between the generated and original data. One key usage of GAN is the production of synthetic medical images using the real-world dataset images. The system addresses concerns like data scarcity, challenges in data collection, data authenticity details, and data privacy aspects, thus enabling enhanced diagnostic capabilities. This paper explores the various GAN architectures available, which encompass CycleGAN, DCGAN, WGAN, and StyleGAN. An investigation of MRI, PET, and ultrasound imaging has been done, where a combination of these architectures has been implemented. Other use cases of GANs have also been noted, like music generation, image-to-image conversion, image deblurring, and many more. This paper analyses the potential future of GANs to revolutionize many industries, from healthcare to entertainment, by providing AI-driven solutions.
