Research on ODN Communication Technology with PON Equipment in Power Communication
With the rapid growth of power communication networks, enhancing communication speed and network quality has become crucial. Fiber-to-the-home technology is the key method in this regard. This study employs passive optical network (PON) technology. By splitting a single optical signal to serve 128 end users, it significantly boosts network efficiency. The PON network design is founded on complex algorithms, constructing a network model with 1 OLT and 16 ONUs. The uplink and downlink speeds are set at 1 Gbit, and the communication distance is 15 km. When ensuring each ONU provides Expedited Forwarding (EF) and Assured Forwarding (AF) service access, the simulation results indicate that the four algorithms developed in this research reduce the average packet delay of the three EF services as network load increases. This shortening of the average packet delay ensures high - quality power communication
