A Dual-Band Patch Antenna Design Having Various Slots for Enhanced V-Band Applications
For V-band applications, this research article describes a new microstrip antenna which is suitable for 5G devices The V band is 50GHz to 75GHz. The design is in the form of a modified rectangle to resonate at specific frequency for mobile network and wireless enhancement.. The article is printed on a flexible substrate of Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 => 0. 0254 mm thick. The antenna was analyzed and designed using HFSS software. The structure includes a rectangular slot subtracted from patch and a hat like structure cut from the ground and the analysis included the S-plot, VSWR, Z-parameter, Gain, H-plane and E-plane radiation patterns.. A number of enhancement techniques have been employed to improve the return loss. In our Antenna design a dual-band resonance at 41.00 and 33.90 GHz having a return loss of - 33.36dB and -19.37dB respectively is achieved. The paper features an analysis of the S-plot, VSWR, Z-parameter, Gain, H-plane and E-plane radiation patterns. The design has the zero reactance and the resistance values of 50 ohms and 1 ohms respectively. The antenna, having a high diversity factor is suitable for 5G devices, and its implementation is feasible. Moreover, the use of this antenna can enhance the wireless and mobile network technologies. This dual-band microstrip patch antenna significantly offers improvement in return loss and shows that it is useful for improving the technologies of wireless and mobile networks. the design's high diversity and practicality makes it one of the best candidate for future 5G devices to function in the V-band spectrum.
