A Low-profile, High-gain, Wide-angle-scanning Dual-linearly Polarized Millimeter-wave Communication Microstrip Antenna
This article proposes a low profile, high gain, wide-angle scanning dual polarization millimeter wave communication microstrip antenna. Microstrip antennas often have problems such as narrow operating bandwidth and poor polarization purity. To address these issues, parasitic patches are loaded to expand the antenna’s operating bandwidth. At the same time, differential feeding is used to effectively reduce the cross polarization of antenna units. The final antenna unit height is only $0.825 \mathrm{~mm}(0.07$ $\lambda$), and the VSWR is less than 2.0 in the operating frequency range of $26 \mathrm{GHz}-28 \mathrm{GHz}$. The 16 * 16 antenna array is composed of this unit, and the active VSWR of the array unit is less than 2.5. The array can achieve ± 60° beam scanning.
