A conformal Ultra-Wideband Half-Mode Vivaldi Antenna on a Conducting Cylinder
An ultra-wideband conformal half-mode Vivaldi antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna is printed on a flexible dielectric substrate and fed by a coaxial probe, and it has a profile height and width of $0.26 \lambda_{0}\left(\lambda_{0}\right.$ is the wavelength corresponding to the center frequency) and $2.23 \lambda_{0}$, respectively. Compose the antenna units into a $1 \times 8$ antenna array and fix them to the surface of a metal cylinder. The antenna array is processed and tested, and the experimental results show that the $\left|S_{11}\right|\lt -10 \mathrm{~dB}$ bandwidth of the antenna array is from 2 to $\mathbf{1 8} \mathbf{~ G H z}$.
