A 3-D Frequency Selective Surface with a Wide Amplifying Passband
This paper has proposed an amplifying frequency selective surface (FSS) with high selectivity and wide passband. The AFSS is composed of a pair of slot line resonators on the back side of the substrate and a microstrip line on the top side. Metal vias are used to transition between the slot line and the microstrip line. The microstrip line incorporates the power amplifier. The AFSS’s amplifying pass band spans 2.79 GHz to 3.8 GHz. The AFSS has a 30% relative bandwidth. A maximum gain of 11 dB at 3.5 GHz has been achieved through simulation results.
