A Shared Aperture RIS for SWIPT Application

A Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) element structure based on the shared-aperture technology for Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) application is proposed in this paper. The system optimizes energy delivery at 5.8 GHz and information transmission transfer at 3.5 GHz, overcoming interference challenges. Experimental results demonstrate robust performance, offering a promising solution for IoT sustainability.

Abstract

A Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) element structure based on the shared-aperture technology for Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) application is proposed in this paper. The system optimizes energy delivery at 5.8 GHz and information transmission transfer at 3.5 GHz, overcoming interference challenges. Experimental results demonstrate robust performance, offering a promising solution for IoT sustainability.
