Direction Finding Method of three-Element Array Based on LFMW

This paper presents a direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation method of three-element array based on linear frequency modulation waveforms (LFMW). The signals with phase difference generated from the three-element receiving array are processed by individual matching and filtering. Decoupling is performed by correlating the filtered results to determine the incoming direction θ of wave. After processing the received LFMW signal, this method can achieve high-precision DOA estimation of the signal source at a low SNR condition (SNR < 5 dB).

Abstract

This paper presents a direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation method of three-element array based on linear frequency modulation waveforms (LFMW). The signals with phase difference generated from the three-element receiving array are processed by individual matching and filtering. Decoupling is performed by correlating the filtered results to determine the incoming direction θ of wave. After processing the received LFMW signal, this method can achieve high-precision DOA estimation of the signal source at a low SNR condition (SNR < 5 dB).
