Design, Fabrication, and Characterization of a Tri-Band Millimeter-Wave Reflectarray

The analysis, fabrication, and antenna validation of a Configurable Reflectarray for Electronic Wideband Scanning Radiometry (CREWSR) is presented in this paper. The operating frequencies are 24GHz, 31GHz, and 50-58GHz, and the array uses an interleaved lattice of three types of antenna elements. The final system will be designed for simultaneous independent electronic beam scanning, and the results presented here are for an intermediate prototyping step to characterize the array's RF performance. There is excellent agreement between measurements and simulations, so the learnings from this stage are instructional for further development.
