Compact and Low-Profile Wide-Band Half U-Slot Patch Antenna
In this paper, a miniaturized low-profile wide-band U-slot patch antenna is proposed. By utilizing a half U-slot structure and applying a shorting wall, our proposed antenna successfully reduces the size of the radiating patch without compromising its performance. Simulated results demonstrate that the antenna achieves a good impedance matching within the frequency range of $7.4-8.8 \mathrm{GHz}$. Within the operating band, the antenna has a stable gain and maintains stable radiation patterns, which indicate that the proposed antenna design can find potential applications in wide-band wireless communication systems.
