A High-Gain Millimeter Wave Antenna Array For Slope Monitoring

In this paper, we introduce a millimeter wave planar array antenna with a large aspect ratio and high gain for slope deformation monitoring. The combined feeding networks based on both the E-plane metal waveguide and the microstrip antenna structure are designed and verified. The test results show that this antenna array has a high gain of 35.67 dBi and an aperture efficiency of 56.9%, which verifies our design method.

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a millimeter wave planar array antenna with a large aspect ratio and high gain for slope deformation monitoring. The combined feeding networks based on both the E-plane metal waveguide and the microstrip antenna structure are designed and verified. The test results show that this antenna array has a high gain of 35.67 dBi and an aperture efficiency of 56.9%, which verifies our design method.
