Arc Flash Analysis Review at Various Applications and Voltage Levels of Power Systems
When electrical failure impact can threat human life, it is worthy look closer and move always with upfront preparation and precautions to prevent falling in such a too high-cost results, This paper aims to be a good starting point for researchers who are closely looking at arc flash, high impact electrical failure. It can help researchers who are willing to contribute to achieving and implementing more accurate arc flash modeling and calculations. That applies for any level of electrical power system and grid starting from generation up to end consumers by reviewing previous studies and research completed up to this study date in a way can guide researchers to gaps they can focus on especially when it comes to a large structure or system as power system, where we have generation, transmission, distribution and consuming stages. Besides the reality of having various power system topologies, valid standards ie. IEC vs. ANSI and work conditions like difference between hydro-electric power plant and photovoltaic power plant. Study is aiming to come with suggestions and may be with route correction linked to commonly used equations and methods besides trying to suggest additional factor ie. weather temperature affect, humidity etc.., for higher accuracy modeling.
