Maximize the Electricity Production from PV System Employing the Optimum Tilt Angle
With the intention to optimize the amount of solar radiation that is taken in by a photovoltaic (PV) panel and, therefore, the amount of solar power that is generated, it is essential to determine the optimal tilt angle of the PV panels for a particular geographical region. Photovoltaic electricity is the fastest-growing clean power source. Solar panels have variable characteristics in relation to temperature and irradiance. Under partial shade situations, the photovoltaic array exhibits many peaks, necessitating the maximum power point method to be optimized for identifying the peak with the highest power output. Evaluating the characteristics of photovoltaic clusters under standard irradiance and partial shade is essential for optimizing power extraction from the PV array. In this work we study the effect of tilt angle of PV system to generate electrical power in three Iraqi cities (Mosul, Karbala, Basra) with various system. Also, the findings acquired will enhance the understanding, management, planning, forecasting, and stabilization of solar power production. The simulation outcomes clarify optimal tilt angle of solar panels for 3 cities in Iraq a(Mosul- Karbala-Basra) was (33°, 30°, 29°), respectively. This work was implemented by RET screen and PVGIS software.
