Integration Design Concept in Millimeter-Wave Arrays and System for Size Reduction
Since antennas always occupy a large space in a wireless system, it is efficient to reduce the size of a radio system by using compact integrated antennas. In this talk, different integration designs of millimeter-wave antennas are firstly introduced, including an array antenna that can provide a unique flat shoulder radiation pattern for both long- and medium-range radar detection, two kinds of large frequency ratio antenna operating in both microwave and millimeter-wave frequency regions, two filtennas integrating both radiation and filtering performance as well as a $2.4 / 28 \mathrm{GHz}$ dual-band circularly polarized antenna with filtering gain performance in the ISM band. Finally, a compact low-profile single-board millimeter-wave full-digital asymmetrical phased array will also be presented.
