Compensation Algorithms for Enhanced OCT Imaging: Validation on Controlled and Biological Tissue Samples
This paper introduces an advanced approach that harmonizes adaptive beam divergence compensation with enhanced dispersion correction techniques. By addressing this oversight, our correction improves the accuracy of depth measurements and image quality. The study tackles intensity decay caused by light reflectance in tissue layers. Applying this integrated approach to scans of a human fingernail and a human tooth demonstrated notable improvements in visualizing microstructures and tissue boundaries. These results highlight the effectiveness of our method for detailed imaging of heterogeneous tissue samples, offering significant advancements in OCT image clarity and depth resolution.
