An Intelligent Reflecting Surface-assisted IoT Communication Method Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning
With the rapid increase in the number of Internet of Things (IoT) terminal nodes, the system capacity faces enormous challenges. Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) technology is a technique that utilizes artificial surfaces or materials to alter the propagation of electromagnetic waves. This paper introduces IRS into IoT scenarios, analyzes the impact of different factors on IRS performance, and seeks the optimal phase optimization strategy through deep reinforcement learning. Simulation results demonstrate that IRS can improve system capacity, and compared with the benchmarks, the optimized performance can be improved by about ${3 0 \%}$.
