Non-coplanar wideband Error-boxes extracting method based on improved TRL calibration

In this paper, a through via measuring method based on improved THRU-LINE-REFLECT (TRL) algorithm is proposed. De-embedding standard is constructed between two vias to achieve the characterization of the non-coplanar via. The error-boxes are extracted based on the TRL algorithm. A set of full wave calibration models are built to validated the algorithm, the calibration results show that the algorithm has a good accuracy in a wide frequency range.

Abstract

In this paper, a through via measuring method based on improved THRU-LINE-REFLECT (TRL) algorithm is proposed. De-embedding standard is constructed between two vias to achieve the characterization of the non-coplanar via. The error-boxes are extracted based on the TRL algorithm. A set of full wave calibration models are built to validated the algorithm, the calibration results show that the algorithm has a good accuracy in a wide frequency range.
