Enhancing Wave Asymmetry: A H-Spiral Type Metasurface Approach for Dual-Polarization Transmission

This paper, presents an asymmetric dual-layer H-type polarization converter metasurface proposed for communication applications. The design incorporates a bi-layer asymmetric twisted metasurface, achieving efficient linear-to-circular polarization conversions with high transmission. The designed structure achieves the (RHCP and LHCP) waves ranging from $\mathrm{f} 1=20.0 \mathrm{GHZ}-21.70 \mathrm{GHZ}$ and $\mathrm{f} 2=33.85 \mathrm{GHz}- 40.0 GHz$, respectively. The structure achieved dual-band axial ratio bandwidth (ARBW) of 4.25% and 15.25%. The cross-polarization conversion analysis has been validated using the surface current distribution. The simulated results, emphasize the structure’s practical applicability for advanced polarization conversion applications.
