Enhancing Lateral Misalignment Tolerance in Wireless Power Transfer using Flower-shaped Coils
This work proposes a wireless power transfer (WPT) link employing flower-shaped coils, demonstrating enhanced power transfer efficiency and tolerance to lateral misalignment. Operating at a frequency of 40 MHz, the proposed WPT link achieves a simulated transfer efficiency of $97.37 \%$ at a transmitter-receiver distance of 25 mm. Additionally, the proposed WPT link maintains a transfer efficiency exceeding 80% under lateral misalignments of up to $\pm 20 \mathrm{~mm}$ in both X and Y axes. Even with misalignments of $\pm 15 \mathrm{~mm}$, the transfer efficiency remains above $\mathbf{8 0 \%}$.
