A Dual-Band Reflective Metasurface with Independent Amplitude-Phase Control

In this paper, a dual-band reflective metasurface (MS) with independent amplitude-phase operation is proposed. The designed MS element consists of three metal layers separated by two substrates. The top I-shaped patch and the middle $\mathbf{C}$-shaped ring patch are used to control the first band and the second band EM waves respectively. A circular ring patch is added around the top I-shaped patch to effectively reduce the coupling effect between the I-shaped and C-shaped patches. Finally, we design a dual-frequency, dual-focus superlens. The simulation results show that the focus can be formed at the set position, verifying the ability of the MS element to regulate the amplitude and phase independently.
