Spatial-polarized Joint Beamforming with Mainlobe Shape-preserving for Satellite Communication
In Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communication systems, the satellite’s payload achieves coverage of terrestrial users by generating a series of shaped beam patterns with uniform signal distribution. In the case of multiple mainlobe interference, conventional adaptive beamforming will suffer from mainlobe distortion problem, which will degrade the communication performance. A spatial-polarized domain joint adaptive beamforming method with mainlobe shape-preserving is proposed to simultaneously suppress multiple mainlobe and sidelobe interference. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits superior mainlobe shape-preserving ability and achieves a higher output signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) compared to previously established techniques.
