Method of MIMO Capacity Improvement Based on S-parameter Phase Difference

In this work, a method to improve multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna system channel capacity based on S-parameter phase difference is proposed. Theoretical derivation and numerical analysis show that the 90° phase difference of port reflection and transmission coefficients between two antennas enhances MIMO channel capacity by significantly suppressing the correlation. The proposed method provides a new way to increase the capacity of MIMO systems.
