A Broadband Circularly Polarized Magnetoelectric Dipole Antenna with High-Gain
A novel magnetoelectric dipole antenna with a parasitic radiation patch loaded on the top and a parasitic metal ring loaded in the middle is proposed. The antenna has the characteristics of wide band, circular polarization and high gain. By utilizing a diamond-shaped dipole design and vertically extending the dipole arms, coupled with parasitic metal rings, the antenna’s low-frequency bandwidth is significantly expanded. In addition, the high-frequency gain is enhanced by incorporating a top-loaded parasitic radiation patch. The simulation results show that the S11 parameter of the antenna in the frequency range of $1.67 \mathrm{GHz} \sim 4.21 \mathrm{GHz}$ is less than -10 dB, the minimum gain is 9.13 dBi, the peak gain is 12.3 dBi, the axial ratio of the whole bandwidth is less than 3 dB, and the antenna has good circular polarization performance.
