Compact Planar Filtering End-fire Dipole Antenna with Reconfigurable Bandwidth
In this paper, a bandwidth-reconfigurable planar filtering end-fire dipole antenna based on PIN diode-loaded coupled dipoles is proposed. By constructing multiple coupling paths between the dipoles to form radiation nulls, the filtering function of the antenna is achieved. The reconfigurable bandwidth functionality is achieved based on the changes in resonant points and coupling caused by the ON and OFF states of the PIN diodes, and the physical prototype has been manufactured and measured. Finally, the prototype shows a reconfigurable bandwidth of 26.3%-40.5% and good filtering performance.
