A high isolation self-decoupling ±30° scanning millimeter wave microstrip antenna
In this paper, a millimeter-wave microstrip array antenna with self-decoupling high isolation realizing scanning is proposed (SHIAA). The self-decoupling high isolation antenna in the SHIAA is composed of a stripline feeder networks, microstrip radiation patch and rectangular parasitic ring. Compared with the traditional microstrip antenna, the rectangular parasitic ring structure, as the resonant structure of SHIA, miniaturizes the microstrip antenna unit, but also effectively improves the isolation between the two units in the operating frequency band without adding additional complex structures. Finally, the SHIA has dimensions of $4.1 \mathrm{~mm} \times 4.1 \mathrm{~mm} \times 1.48 \mathrm{~mm}$ and achieves double linear polarization at $36.35-36.65 \mathrm{GHz}$ with a voltage VSWR of less than 1.3:1, a gain of more than 5.4 dBi. The SHIAA with isolation of -25dB or less between units with ± 30° scanning.
