Broadband High-efficiency Continuous Class-F Power Amplifier Based on Filter Network
In this paper, a broadband high-efficiency power amplifier (PA) based on bandpass filtering (BPF) matching network (MN) and continuous Class-F is proposed. By utilizing the BPF, the fundamental impedance can be conveniently designed and the second harmonic is naturally situated on the left edge of the Smith chart. Accordingly, the CCF PA is easily obtained by using a simple third harmonic circuit. A high-efficiency CCF PA working at $0.8-1.2 \mathrm{GHz}$ is designed and simulated, with the drain efficiency (DE) as high as 80.9% 87.8%.
