K-Band Circularly Polarized Phased Array Antenna with Wide-angle Scanning for Satellite Communication
A K-band circularly polarized phased array antenna with wide-angle scanning is proposed in this paper for satellite communication. After careful optimization, both -10 dB impedance bandwidth and AR bandwidth can be realized in the K-band from 19.34 to 21.32 GHz with Right-handed circular polarization (RHCP). In addition, the filtering response is realized to improve cross-band isolation at the Ka-band for further integration with the Ka-band array. Simulated results show that in the xoz-plane and yoz-plane, a wide scanning range of ± 60° can be obtained.
