Wideband Communication Method for Time Modulated Arrays Based on Harmonic Equalization

In this paper, a novel wideband communication method based on harmonic equalization for time modulated array (TMA) is proposed. By analyzing the time-domain expression of communication signals transmitted by TMA, the optimal recovery condition for communication signals is proposed, and the expression for harmonic balancing signal in the receiver part is designed based on the principle of minimum mean square error. By multiplying the transmitted signal with the harmonic balancing signal, the influence of harmonics on signal distortion is eliminated, and the distortion free transmission of wideband signals in TMA is achieved. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
