Measurement of Non-coaxial Orbital Angular Momentum Indoor Channel at 38 GHz
Orbital Angular Momentum is a potential technology for next-generation mobile communications that can extend existing resources, but channel propagation for OAM beams remains unknown. This work accomplishes channel measurement in two modes and two deployments of 38 GHz indoor corridors. The path loss (PL) shows that at line of sight, the OAM wave is higher than the plane wave due to divergence. But non-coaxial deployment is more suitable for OAM systems, in which case OAM PL will be reduced by 10 dB.
