Vector Fitting Method Based on Ultra-wideband Characteristic Basis Function Method for Calculating Broadband RCS
Based on the vector fitting method and the ultra-wideband characteristic basis function method (UCBFM), a new method for calculating broadband radar cross sections (RCS) is proposed. Firstly, the RCS of a perfect electric conductor (PEC) target is calculated at a few frequency points in the desired band using UCBFM. Then the RCS is fitted at multiple frequency points within the desired band using the vector fitting method. Numerical simulation results show that compared with the traditional characteristic basis function method, the proposed method is improved in terms of memory consumption and computational efficiency.
