A Dual-Band OAM Antenna Array With Identical Divergence Angle
Orbital angular momentum (OAM) beams have different divergence angles at different frequency bands, which leads to the complexity and difficulty of designing receiving OAM beams for wireless communication systems. In this work, a dual-band antenna array is presented with an identical divergence angle. This manuscript proposes a series-fed dual-band patch antenna and two concentric uniform circular arrays (UCAs) that are used to generate +1 mode OAM at 24 GHz and 32 GHz, respectively. The radius of each UCA is optimized to generate the same divergence OAM beams, which simplifies the reception of OAM. Full-wave simulations have been operated to verify the performance.
