A Dual-Band 1×4 Substrate Integrated Waveguide Circularly Polarized Array

A dual-band $1 \times 4$ circularly polarized antenna array based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is proposed in this paper. The antenna array operates at 28 GHz and 38 GHz and consists of a microstrip power divider, dual-band matching networks, and SIW cavities. Circular slots are integrated into the SIW cavities to enable dual-band circular polarization radiation. The SIW cavity operates in the $\mathbf{T M}_{210}$ mode at the higher frequency band and the $\mathbf{T M}_{110}$ mode at the lower frequency band. To validate the design, simulations of the antenna array were conducted. Results indicate that the antenna array exhibits excellent circular polarization characteristics in both frequency bands, with main lobe gains of 14.4 dBi and 14.6 dBi, respectively.
