Conformal Fractal Capsule Antenna for Multi-Band Wireless Endoscopy Applications
A conformal fractal capsule antenna is proposed for wireless endoscopy applications in this paper. The antenna is designed to operate across multiple frequency bands, specifically the widely used ISM $915 \mathrm{MHz}, 2.4 \mathrm{GHz}$ and WTMS 1.4 GHz bands. The antenna is implemented on the out-side wall of the 0.254 mm thick Rogers 5880 substrate and consist of two identical fractal structure radiating patches to achieve miniaturization and high gain performance. The proposed antenna has a steady radiation pattern, which makes it a dependable option for data transmission and real-time imaging from inside the human body. The proposed antenna is a good candidate for multi-band wireless endoscopy applications.
