A Holographic Beam-Scanning Leaky-Wave Antenna for Millimeter-Wave Communication
In this paper, a novel millimeter-wave leaky-wave antenna (LWA) base on holographic method is proposed for two-dimensional wide-angle beam-scanning at 28 GHz. The LWA consists of controllable holographic surface (CHS), a substrate integrated coaxial line array, and a 4 -ways power divider. The radiation power of each unit in CHS can be independently switched between two states by loading PIN diodes. The simulation results show that the proposed LWA can achieved a scanning range of ${- 60 }^{\circ} \sim 60^{\circ}$ in azimuth and $-20^{\circ} \sim 20^{\circ}$ in elevation, and a simulated peak realized gain of 19.82 dBi. The proposed antenna has great potential to be applied in millimeter-wave wireless communication.
