Dual-Polarized Four-Element Low-Profile Array With Consistent Antenna Pattern for Base station
The broadband 4-element 2-port feed dual-polarized antenna array with low profile and small array element spacing is proposed for modern mobile communications base station. The proposed array consists of 4 stepped-impedance (SI) slot antenna elements with 2 excited ports, decoupling structures located between elements used to improve the isolation and reflector covering the side and bottom of the array. Simulation results show that the proposed array has the radiation pattern consistence with distinction not more than 4.8 dB from -60 to $\mathbf{6 0}$ degree in operating frequency from 1320 to 1680 MHz.
