Broadband Dual-Polarized Electromagnetic Scattering Manipulation with a Spatiotemporal Metasurface
In this paper, we explore the use of broadband dual-polarized coding metasurface for the dynamic and arbitrary manipulation of electromagnetic (EM) wave scattering. A dual-polarized metasurface with 1-bit phase modulation is established to disperse incidence energy to both spatial and spectrum domains in a broadband of $4.74-8.55 \mathrm{GHz}$. Arbitrary scattering pattern can be obtained by carefully designing the spatiotemporal phase coding matrix in the metasurface. The proposed method has potentials in applications of EM wave detection, camouflage, and next-generation wireless communication, etc.
