Reconfigurable Meta-Reflector for Estimating Direction of Arrival
An alternative methodology for estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) is proposed. A reconfigurable meta-reflector is used as a virtual parabolic reflector that can be electronically scanned. Each parabolic phase profile corresponds to a fixed reception angle, making the incident beams converge to a receiving antenna at the common focal point. The DOA is estimated by finding the maximum power recovered by the receiving antenna. The methodology is experimentally validated by measurements.
