Dual-Mode Patch Resonator Filter With Asymmetric Perturbations

In this work, microwave dual-mode band-pass filter with square patch resonator is studied and discussed. Unlike the classic dual-mode patch resonator filter, the discussed filter is perturbed on the upper right corner with a hole, either on the patch itself or on the ground, resulting in an asymmetric topology. Both predicated and experimental results are presented and compared, thus confirming the validity of the studied filter topology.

Abstract

In this work, microwave dual-mode band-pass filter with square patch resonator is studied and discussed. Unlike the classic dual-mode patch resonator filter, the discussed filter is perturbed on the upper right corner with a hole, either on the patch itself or on the ground, resulting in an asymmetric topology. Both predicated and experimental results are presented and compared, thus confirming the validity of the studied filter topology.
