Design of a 4×16 Element Comb Array Antenna
In this paper, a high gain $4 \times 16$ element comb planar array antenna is proposed, which has high gain and low side lobe level and is suitable for radar construction. Firstly, the Taylor synthesis method is used to synthesize a $1 \times 16$ element comb fed microstrip patch antenna, and then a power divider is designed to combine with the $1 \times 16$ element comb fed microstrip patch antenna to obtain a $4 \times 16$ element comb planar array antenna. The reflection coefficients of the antennas are less than -14 dB in the frequency band from 79 GHz to 81 GHz, and the impedance matching is good. The maximum gain of the antenna is 20.195 dBi and the sidelobe level is less than $\mathbf{- 1 8} \mathrm{dB}$.
