A Miniature Wideband Circularly Polarized Antenna with Band-Notched Characteristics for Satellite Communication Applications
This paper proposes a miniature circularly polarized antenna with band-notched characteristics to achieve dual-band operation for L/S satellite communication application. The presented inverted L-probe patch antenna utilizes slow-wave structure and band-notched line to achieve dual wide impedance & axial ratio bandwidth performance. The presented circularly polarized antenna operates in the frequency bands of 1.9 GHz 2.07 GHz and $2.12 \mathrm{GHz}-2.3 \mathrm{GHz}$. It adds two band-notched characteristics to achieve isolation between the two frequency bands. The overall size is $52 \mathrm{~mm} \times 52 \mathrm{~mm} \times 18 \mathrm{~mm}$. Within this size, a patch antenna, a 90 -degree phase shift Wilkinson power divider, and two band-notched characteristics are closely integrated, meeting the high-performance and miniaturization requirements of satellite communication systems.
