Substrate integrated coaxial line loaded with CSRRs for Ultrafast Electronics

This paper proposed a method to broaden the monomode bandwidth of substrate integrated coaxial line (SICL) by etching complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) on the upper and lower metal plates of SICL. Simulation results show that after loading 3 pairs of CSRRs, the monomode bandwidth increased from 67 GHz to 89 GHz, which is 32.8% wider than that of conventional SICLs.
