An Investigation of Dual-band Millimeter Wave Dielectric Resonator MIMO Antenna
This paper presents a dual-band 1×2 rectangular multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) designed, fabricated and measured for millimeter-wave communication applications. The antenna offers dual-bandwidth, spanning from 25.53 to 28.97 GHz and 34.20 to 36.73 GHz, while maintaining unidirectional radiation patterns. Notably, the MIMO antenna excited $\mathrm{TE}_{1 \delta 3}^{\mathrm{y}}$ and $\mathrm{TE}_{1 \delta 5}^{\mathrm{y}}$ modes at DR1 for radiation and effectively couples with even-order modes at DR2 to achieve good isolation performance within the operational bandwidth.
