A K-/Ka-band Dual-Polarized 2 × 2 DRA Array Fed by Probe
This work is aimed at proposing a low-cost antenna solution by designing a novel millimeter-wave (mmw) probe-fed dual-band dual-polarized dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with very simplified PCB stack-up and compact size. A probe feed is used to excite the concerned DR modes and a pin is centrally loaded in the DR to reshape the undesired DR modes. The multiple resonances are obtained by the stacked DR and patch. The finalized DRA element uses only two substrate layers. A $2 \times 2$ antenna array working at K - and Ka -bands has been fabricated using PCB process. The simulated and measured results are presented.
