Wideband Dual-Band 28/39 GHz 16-Way Power Divider With Interstage Phase Optimization for 5G mm-Wave Phased Array
A wideband dual-band $28 / 39 \mathrm{GHz}$ 16-way power divider based on interstage phase optimization is proposed, operating from 23 to 32 GHz(32.1%) and from 34 to 46.5 GHz (32.1%), which covers the existing 5G millimeter wave (mm-wave) spectrum. First, an interstage phase optimization technique is adopted to improve the reflection coefficient of multi-way power dividers in the targeted band, by tuning the interstage transmission line and optimizing the reflection path of each stage. Moreover, Wilkinson topology is utilized in the unit design, ensuring a high isolation. Additionally, the 16-way power divider is designed using stripline based on the low-cost PCB technology, featuring ease-to-integration in large-scale 5G mm-wave phased arrays.
