A Decoupled Dual-band Shared-aperture Antenna with Low Profile
This paper introduces a decoupled dual-band shared-aperture antenna with a low profile for wireless communication. The proposed antenna is a nested structure consisting of $\mathbf{2} \times \mathbf{2}$ high-band (HB) antennas operating in $2.95 \sim 3.5 \mathrm{GHz}$ and a low-band (LB) antenna operating in $0.6 \sim 0.9 \mathrm{GHz}$. These two antennas are ME dipole antenna with wide band and dual linear polarization. Four HB antennas are symmetrically installed inside the LB radiator with the same aperture height. This configuration will not increase the extra height and prevent the two antennas from blocking each other. Simulation results show that the proposed shared-aperture antenna exhibits good impedance matching, low coupling and stable radiation pattern at UHF band and S band. In addition, it has the advantages of low profile, easy fabrication and simple structure. This shared-aperture design has a bright prospect in the wireless wideband communication technology and application.
