A Fast Amplitude-only Cyclic Subarray Calibration Method for Large Phased Arrays
Calibrating large phased arrays with numerous elements presents a significant technical challenge. In this paper, a novel calibration method for large phased arrays is proposed, utilizing the rotating element vector (REV) principle combined with cyclic subarray calibration. Cyclic calibration by partitioning the entire array into intermediary and peripheral zones can reduce measurement errors caused by the mutual coupling between elements. The pre- and post-calibration amplitude-phase of array elements and the measurement error for each cycle are analyzed. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed strategy.
